Why we choose natural over posing?

Candid photography in Copenhagen

Tina & John, rocking on the streets of Copenhagen with their best friends, 2022

As a wedding photographer, I love capturing the real, natural moments between couples. Instead of posing people in stiff, uncomfortable positions, I like to let the couple be themselves and just capture the beauty of their love in a more organic way.

For me, it's not just about getting pretty pictures. It's about giving the couple an experience that they'll never forget. I love it when clients tell me that they've never felt so beautiful, confident, or loved as when I've been taking their pictures.

One of the best things about this approach is that it allows for all kinds of moments to be captured, even the imperfect ones. Sometimes the most beautiful pictures are the ones that are a little bit messy or unexpected.

But the real magic happens when a couple can let their guard down and be themselves in front of the camera. When they're not worried about looking perfect, they're able to let their love shine through in a way that's truly authentic. And that's what makes for the most beautiful and meaningful images.

Elopement in Copenhagen

"Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still."

-Dorothea Lange

Beyond just the pictures themselves, I believe that being photographed in this way can be a transformative experience. It can help people see themselves in a new light and tap into parts of themselves they didn't even know existed. Plus, having these beautiful images to look back on can be such a wonderful reminder of the love and connection that brought them together in the first place.

So if you're thinking about hiring a photographer for your wedding or any other special occasion, I encourage you to consider a natural, non-posed approach. It's not just about the pictures, it's about the experience of being seen and celebrated for who you truly are.

With Love,

Catalina
